6-10 September: Iyengar yoga with Constantinos Giannetakis: “From external alignment to the awareness of internal space”. The workshop will emphasize the importance of external alignment as a prerequisite for students to recognize awareness. It will also provide them with the precise energetical techniques as they apply to the practice of asanas and pranayama.
Students will have the opportunity to understand external and internal rooting in different series of asanas, relax in action, focusing on the internal dynamics of the body, and open the back body and diaphragm in asana and pranayama, in order to put the energy of the spine in movement. The workshop’s aim is to encourage students to become more receptive and independent, and able to develop their own personal practice.
11-18 September: Hatha yoga with Eugenia Sivitou

The course
(only applies to 4- and 7-day long workshops, please see Private Retreat day description below)
On the day of arrival guests are welcomed with an afternoon introductory yoga session, which is followed by dinner. Thereafter, the days begin with an early morning dynamic session, the specific style depending on the teacher(s) for the week. After breakfast guests are free to relax and enjoy the beach and sunshine, as well as explore the surrounding area and villages, or even receive a massage or other alternative treatment (shiatsu or energy healing), as available for the week! A light lunch is also on offer. Later in the afternoon there is a second session, again varying in content depending on the teacher for the week, followed by dinner. Guests have the opportunity to dine out two of the evenings of each week (one evening during 4-day workshops; not included in the course cost). On the fourth day of each weeklong course there is a rest from the morning class for most courses (check with us for the one you are interested in); an optional excursion, including a hike and/or walking and sitting meditation, also takes place during the same afternoon, at an extra cost, instead of the afternoon class. Individual excursions can also be arranged at an extra cost. On the last day, the morning session is followed by breakfast before departure.
The number of guests is limited to 12, to create a warm and friendly atmosphere, and to ascertain that individual attention is given during the yoga sessions, making them suitable for all levels, unless the requirement of prior experience is specifically stated in the course description.

Private Retreat day outline
The week begins with a welcome dinner on the evening of arrival. Thereafter, the schedule for each private retreat is custom made according to guests’ preferences, as there is a maximum of 6 guests each week. Usually, breakfast will follow the 2-hour long morning Hatha yoga session taught by Eugenia Sivitou, and dinner will be offered in the early evening, with ample time inbetween to relax and enjoy the winter and spring sunshine, go for hikes, or explore the village and region. Pranayama (breathing exercises), concentration and meditation, as well as presentation of philosophical aspects of yoga, will be incorporated in the classes. On the last day, departure can be arranged after breakfast. The small number of guests allows for the creation of a warm and friendly atmosphere, and also to ascertain that individual attention is given during the yoga classes, making them suitable for all levels of experience.
